In true Moto3 fashion, Joan Mir won the Moto3 Grand Prix in Argentina in a desperate scrap to the finish line that saw the same riders on the podium as the first round, two weeks ago in Qatar.
Mir came from mid-pack to challenge the top five riders. With the lead changing many times in the last five laps, Mir just managed to get the nose of his bike in front of John McPhee to win by just +0.261 of a second.
After also winning in Qatar, Mir adds the Moto3 Grand Prix of Argentina to his scorecard. He now holds a perfect 50 Series points.
John McPhee, who started on pole again second, same as Qatar. As did ex-Red Bull Rookie Jorge Martin in third place.
Philipp Oettl and Andrea Migno were there at the finish to post a fourth and fifth for the KTM factory.
Niccolo Antonelli, Fabio Di Giannantonio and Enea Bastianini all fell to lose valuable series points.
