The “Battle of the LAMS Brands” Road Racing Championship Gets Rough in Round 3

The next generation of Australian road racing star riders got serious and swapped a lot of paint at the third round of the Championship held at Winton in Victoria recently. The “battle of the LAMS brands” saw the KTM RC 390 riders lose their grip on the pointscore to the Yamahas.

Winton-Croker

KTM’s Mac Croker [#41] did win the second race on his first ride on the new model RC390 but tangled with young Yamaha rider Oli Bayliss [Troy’s son] to crash out of the first race.

Winton-VanErde

KTM RC 390 Team rider 15 year-old Billy Van Erde [29], who won the second round of the Series, was taken out of the first start race by another rider and struggled to continue. The crash at Winton means he loses the points lead and he will enter the next round in fifth overall.

Winton-Brook

Dirt track star and KTM RC390 rider Jared Brook [#21] is new to road racing but is improving after every ride and he now holds 13th place overall in the Australian championship.
