Procycles, one of Australia’s oldest Triumph dealers, has been forced to relinquish representation of the brand at their Hornsby and St Peters locations.
Procycles, and its predecessor Tom Byrne Motorcycles, have been with the Triumph brand since the early seventies, helping forge the brand, over the last 50 years, into what it is today.
The association goes back to 1983 when the old Triumph factory was run by the Meriden Workers Group. We were the NSW distributor until 1986 and we were the first NSW dealer to be appointed in the early 1990’s when John Bloor acquired the Triumph name and started to manufacture the bikes in the factory at Hinckley. And we lived through the great fire which destroyed the old factory in 2002.
Peter Stevens Motorcycles, the Triumph distributor from Victoria, has decided to take back the franchises in order to establish a new retail network in Sydney.
Procycles will now concentrate on its core brands BMW, KTM and Suzuki. Both Procycles showrooms will undertake extensive renovations and updates, ready for a new era.
