Procycles Sydney, on the Princes Highway at St Peters, have been a part of the Inner West community for over 30 years.
After three years of disruption caused by the West Connex construction works, Procycles were only too pleased to be included in the re-vitalisation of the surrounding streetscape and to work with the Inner West Council by providing our building wall space for this beautiful, significant artwork by renowned Australian artist Brad Robson.
This tableaux is a shrine dedicated to pay homage to three young lions who dominated Australian motorcycle road racing in the Seventies and early Eighties. Warren Willing, Gregg Hansford and Ken Blake brought a modern, new look and personality to the scene, sweeping away the somewhat staid and dated era of the ‘fifties and ‘sixties. All three riders are now deceased and motorcyclists from all over Australia will welcome this mark of respect for the contribution the three riders made to Australian and International road racing.
