With Tony Cairoli aboard the KTM 350 SX-F took five consecutive MX1 World Championship titles. No surprises here, with the combination of 450-class muscle and the agility of a 250.
WEIGHT: 99.8 kg – a massive reduction compared to the previous generation.
FRAME: High-tech, lightweight chrome-moly steel frame for excellent handling, precise cornering and stability. With extra-light aluminum subframe, weighing less than 2 pounds
FOOTPEGS: Â´No DirtÂ´ clogging in the pivot, even in deep ruts. 6mm higher than SX.
AIRBOX: Large twin-air filter mounted in a stiff cage. Change filters in seconds, without tools.
HANDLEBAR: Tapered high-strength aluminum by NEKEN, fixed in damped rubber mounts and has two different positions.
BRAKES: Hi-tech Brembos are combined with lightweight wave discs. For 2017, the rear brake features a 10mm longer brake pedal.
WHEELS: Lightweight, CNC machined hubs and high-end Excel rims.
ENGINE: With the latest electronic fuel injection system and electric starter, the 350 SX-F engine shares the same layout as the 250 SX-F â€“ with less mass than a 450 cc while pumping out power that rivals some 450-class competitors. An hour meter is fitted at the upper triple clamp in order to let the rider know itâ€™s time for a service.
ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: The state-of-the-art Keihin Engine Management System features a unique traction and launch control system for lightning starts and maximum grip thanks to different maps that sync with to the gear youâ€™re in. Unleash an even more powerful mapping via the handlebar map switch.
MONOSHOCK: The WP monoshock has a new setting and a softer spring perfectly match the reworked front-end set-up.
FORKS: The lightweight WP USD 48mm front forks, are a split fork with separate functions for each leg. Damping functions on the right, air spring on the left and easy to adjust via a single air valve. No special tools; just the air pump provided.
