Sloan Frost has won the 2018 NZ Superbike Championships on his Suzuki GSXR-1000R.
The 36 year-old rider from Wellington had built a commanding lead over the first three rounds, going into the fourth and final round, held at the Taupo circuit, 47 points ahead.
Frost qualified fastest at Taupo but took no chances in the last 3 races, content with finishing in the top six places and staying out of trouble to clinch the series. His near stock Suzuki GSXR-1000R performed flawlessly to out-class the rest of the field in the Championship. It was the second time he has won the NZ Championships.
