BMW F 900 GS 24- Exhausts

That’s why our Procycles BMW Sydney customer Norbert decided trade his BMW R1250 RT on the latest model R1300 RT Impulse, fitted with the amazing Automated Manual Transmission gearbox.

For such a big motorcycle, Norbert’s new 1300 RT delivers powerful, pure acceleration. With 145 hp and 110 lb-ft of torque, he can get to 100 klms per hour in approximately 3.7 seconds. The Impulse variant comes in Metallic blue with the dark chrome exhaust, forged handlebars, variable wind deflectors, and a brushed aluminum fuel tank.

Other options include BMW’s Riding Assistant, which adds radar for Active Cruise Control, as well as Front Collision Warning, Rear End Collision Warning, and Lane Change Warning systems. The vast array of options also includes audio packages, a variety of different heated seats, and the ability to bolster the bike’s trio of riding modes with an additional two settings by selecting the Riding Modes Pro Package. BMW’s Automated manual transmission, replaces the clutch with two computer-operated electromechanical actuators. There’s a fully automatic “D” mode and a manual-shift “M” setting, which lets you change gear using a familiar-feeling foot shifter, even though it’s connected only electronically to the transmission.

A Super Naked that pumps out an arm-stretching 205 hp, with weight of 199 kgs ready to go. And for the 2025 model, BMW has added some extra goodies, including an M Quick-Action throttle and a shorter final drive ratio, with a 17-tooth front sprocket matching to a 46-tooth rear. The bike also gets BMW’s Standard Drag Torque Control (MSR) and Engine Brake function, usually a feature on the higher-end M models. The system works in conjunction with a slipper clutch to prevent the rear wheel from locking up under heavy deceleration, quickly closing the throttle.

This ever-evolving superbike now has more aerodynamic trim panels with winglets, front wheel mudguard M Brake Ducts, and other performance-oriented details, such as the quick action throttle that reduces the throttle path by 14 degrees. And a Pro riding mode that will give Mik more control over all riding situations. But choosing the M-Sport model, he also gets additional equipment like the M Billet Pack, Tyre Pressure Monitor and Passenger Kit. The M Package includes M Carbon Wheels, M Endurance Seat, M Blue Brake Callipers, a black Fuel Filler Cap and the all-important Race Package’s M Endurance Chain, Sports Silencer and Dynamic Package: Dynamic Damping Control, Heated Grips and Cruise Control.

Michael was riding a BMW S1000 R Sport, a dynamic roadster on the outside, with RR Superbike DNA on the inside. But he found all that performance was overkill, considering most of his riding these days was really just getting around the city. So, Michael came in to see us at Procycles BMW Sydney, in St Peters, to trade his S1000 R on a more city-friendly F900 XR Sport. The BMW F900 XR Sport edition is an M-Sport variant of the new generation XR line that comes with more M-themed lightweight components, wheel rims, a sports exhaust and of course this stunning motorsport tri-colour scheme. It also offers a TFT display, wind protection, and adaptable suspension. And if Michael decides to escape the city, he’ll find his new XR Sport is also a very capable, comfortable long-distance tourer.

Rex has been a loyal customer of Procycles BMW Hornsby for over 15 years. And now, six bikes later, he’s finally had to admit the height of his BMW R1250 Adventure is getting to be a bit of a struggle. We spoke about it in the showroom and we got him a test ride on the new R1300 GS Trophy, with the added benefit of Adaptive Vehicle Height Control. Rex was immediately relieved when he was able to flat foot the bike with no issues.

This new adaptive vehicle height control on the R1300 GS is amazing. It’s an automatic suspension system that lowers the bike by 30mm when coming to a stop for better ground accessibility and ease of getting on or off. When the bike is stationary or at low speeds (below about 25 klm), the system lowers the seat height, and as you start moving, it automatically raises the chassis back to the standard ride height. A great convenience for our older riders or those of us who are vertically challenged. The adaptive height control is part of the broader Dynamic Suspension Adjustment (DSA) system, which also adjusts damping and spring stiffness in real-time for optimal comfort and handling.

Andre did his research, looking for a great all-rounder sports bike, preferably a naked so he had the practicality as well as the performance.

On top of its searing performance the S1000R remains roomy, easy to ride, and this Sport model is loaded with toys and semi-active suspension, with Marzocchi forks and shock. A new electronic braking control system, which works alongside the R’s mechanical slipper clutch, keeps things under control under rapid deceleration. It’s particularly useful on a wet road. The rest of the rider aids get M1000 RR settings that are nothing short of excellent, from its smooth anti-wheelie to the accuracy of the Sport’s up/down quickshifter, while the traction control that works away quietly in the background.
