Phil is a returning customer who we like a lot. He has owned lots of BMWs including a few RT’s, GS’s and GSA’s.  This time he was trading his 2015 BMW R1200 RT onto our later model 2023 R1250 RT. 

We streamlined the process so it was quick and simple and we had Phil back on the road, on his updated RT within the hour. The Procycles workshop technicians worked wonders with Phil’s new RT. After a comprehensive 40-point inspection and a thorough pimp for delivery, this bike came up looking brand new. Just the way we like it. We wanted Phil to have a new bike experience.

Masahiro and his family all enjoy riding together and they have been doing it for a long time. So, when it came time to upgrade his ride, they all wanted to be involved. Dominic lost touch with his riding a few years ago and let his license lapse. It wasn’t long before he realised there was something missing in his life. Gone was the joy and the feeling of escapism that you get when riding your motorcycle. Domenic decided to do something about it and came in to check his options at Procycles Kawasaki Sydney. We took him through the 650cc Naked category and he immediately locked onto the Kawasaki Z650.

This middleweight naked parallel-twin engine delivers a mix of smooth low-end torque and spirited mid-range power, paired with a 6-speed box and an assist & slipper clutch. Mark lives in Tasmania. He saw this late model BMW K1600B Grand America that Procycles BMW Sydney, at St Peters, had listed for sale. Mark saw that it looked as new, so he flew in from Tasmania, picked it up and will now be riding all the way to Tassie. What a great way to celebrate new bike day! The BMW K1600B Grand America is a luxurious, six-cylinder, bagger-style tourer, built for supreme comfort and open-road cruising down Highway One, all the way to Tasmania.

A great chance for Mark to experience the powerful, smooth engine and advanced electronics all visible on the huge TFT display with Navigation and Riding modes. Andrea likes to be different. He was riding around on a WR450, until he realised that it wasn’t really suited to be a commuter. He put his prejudices aside and came into Procycles BMW Sydney to take a closer look at the BMW Scooter range. He had heard they were next level … and at first, he was unsure, until he sat on BMW’s C400 X … a premium, agile, urban scooter with strong, smooth acceleration for city speeds, comfortable ergonomics (especially with the heated options), and impressive motorcycle-like handling in corners, thanks to its sporty chassis.

He says he wanted something with great touring capabilities and that’s what he got. Plus, a whole lot more. Motorcycles have been part of Sarouen’s life for a long time and the older he gets, the more he wants to ride. When Sarouen was ready to upgrade he had a few options on the table. All great bikes but there was something about Kawasaki’s Z900RS that really stood out. He called us at Procycles Kawasaki Sydney to check if we had the bikes on his shortlist – they were all in stock. So, he rode down to take a look at our selection. Even while exploring the other models, the Z900RS just kept calling his name. He took it our demo for a test ride and instantly knew that this was the bike for him. 

The Z900RS is a thoroughly modern naked bike disguised as a throwback to the '70s. With the kind of timeless style Sarouen loves and  featuring the iconic teardrop fuel tank, round LED headlight and bullet shaped analogue dials.

Joshua has always had a soft spot for Yamaha. He loves the brand, loves the bikes, and when he was getting off his Ls and onto his full licence, he knew he wanted to find the perfect Yamaha for his next big step up. Being a bit of a sports bike fan, the brand-new YZF-R9 immediately caught his attention.

However, at the time, the Yamaha R9 was in extremely high demand, and stock across Australia was almost non-existent. The Yamaha R9 is hard to get because they are such an amazing motorcycle. With a new level of performance and capability in a Supersport street bike. 117 horsepower @ 10,000 rpm and 93 Nm of torque is a heap of power. Just as well it has a comprehensive suite of electronic rider aids to keep it under control.

Joshua saw that Procycles Yamaha Sydney was the new big dealer in the city, so he consulted us to help him locate a bike. The Procycles Yamaha sales guys were able to secure Joshua an R9 … but he would have to wait until January to get it. He resigned himself to just having to wait patiently.

Sensing his disappointment, the Procycles team pulled out all stops and before long were able to call Joshua with some incredible news: we were able to get him a bike two months early. Joshua raced into the St Peters store to check out his brand-new Yamaha YZF-R9. The moment he sat on it, his smile was worth all the effort. The final details were sorted, and two days later Joshua returned to collect his awesome—and very rare - new Yamaha R9.

James traded his 2016 MT-10 onto a brand new 2025 Yamaha MT-09 SP. The MT-10 was a bit too much for James as he spent most of his riding time just tooling around Sydney’s Inner West. But even so, he didn't want to sacrifice the power, and he’d also like to try Yamaha’s latest electronics.

James is in for a surprise. These bikes have come a long way since James bought his MT-10 nine years ago. The new MT-09 SP is a high-end “hyper-naked” streetbike that combines raw triple-cylinder power with premium suspension, electronics, and ergonomics.

The inline-three delivers strong torque from low revs, paired with a 6-speed transmission and assist & slipper clutch for smooth shifts. And the SP version upgrades the chassis with DLC-coated 41 mm KYB upside down forks and a fully adjustable Öhlins rear shock, plus Brembo Stylema brakes for superb stopping performance. Handling is enhanced by a lightweight aluminum frame, spin-forged wheels to reduce unsprung weight, and adjustable ergonomics (handlebars and footpegs) for a tailored fit.

On the tech side, it features a full-colour 5-inch TFT display with Smartphone Connectivity and Navigation, a 6-axis IMU managing rider aids (Traction, Slide, Wheel-lift and Brake control), customizable ride modes including track-specific settings, cruise control, quick-shifter, and even a Smart Key keyless ignition — all making the MT-09 SP a very capable sports bike that you can ride in daily traffic. We bet you James will be itching to get out of his suburban back roads and will be cutting apexes in the National Park on his new MT-09.

Pavlo was getting around town and taking his kids to school on a Ducati Scrambler. It was a cool ride for the kids, but Pavlo found it all way too much for his local streets. So, he started researching the scooter market, looking for something more civilised, but hopefully still with a bit of bite.

The Procycles sales guys showed Pavlo the 2025 Yamaha XMAX 300, a Maxi-Scooter loaded with features, commuter convenience and sporty performance. The liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine delivers smooth, sharp acceleration thanks to an automatic CVT transmission with easy, no-gear-changing riding. The XMAX 300 includes modern comforts like a 4.2-inch full-colour TFT display with smartphone connectivity and built-in navigation, a Smart Key keyless ignition system, a large under-seat storage compartment capable of holding two helmets, and USB-C charging. Safety and control come from ABS brakes and Traction control for stable handling. With an electrically adjustable windscreen for protection on longer rides. Such a huge difference compared to his basic Scrambler and surprise, surprise, the kids are into it as well!

Nicki here was after a small run around bike that was affordable and reliable. Two words that are synonymous with Kawasaki. Especially this 2025 Kawasaki KLX150 from Procycles Kawasaki Sydney.
The KLX150 is a lightweight, lams-approved, dual-sport bike built for fun on both dirt trails and light urban riding. This is Luke’s first motorcycle and he’s made a great start by choosing a 2025 Yamaha MT-03 from the brand-new Yamaha dealer on Sydney’s North Shore – Procycles Hornsby. Luke came in to check out his LAMS options. We had this MT-03 in stock and Luke ordered it with radiator guards and frame sliders, just to be on the safe side.

The Yamaha MT-03 was already a great entry-level motorcycle. First-time riders really liked its nimble handling, beginner-friendly power delivery, and comfortable, upright riding position. Lauren came into Procycles Yamaha Hornsby a couple months ago looking for her first bike. She was initially in the market for a used Ninja 400 and asked us to give her a call if we traded one. Elie is the new proud owner of the one of the last new BMW Transcontinental Cruisers available in Australia and from Procycles BMW Sydney. Elie is into comfort, style, and long-distance touring. Keith was a regular rider up until about ten years ago. He loved his two-stroke sport bikes, and owned a few 600’s. But he hasn’t ridden since then. It’s amazing how life and the responsibility of having to bring up a family re-arranges your priorities. Now with his kids well on their way, Keith decided to get back in the saddle. Six months ago, we got a phone call from the lovely people at the Make-A-Wish Foundation to see if we could help them make a child's wish come true. Of course, at Procycles Yamaha Hornsby, we said yes, and spoke about some different options that would work. Back then, Daniel and his family decided on a 50SX, due to Daniel's size, this was the perfect option. Leading closer to the date we had booked in to grant Daniel's wish, we got a call from Make a Wish; they said Daniel has grown quite a bit since they decided on a 50 and a 65 might be the better way to go. We switched bikes and got a Yamaha YZ65 ready for him instead. Since taking the bike home, Daniel has been getting lessons from Trailblazers and is enjoying every minute of it. Merry Christmas to Daniel and his family and all the wonderful folks at Make-A-Wish for the great work they do.

Dane runs AE Luxury Tours, a tour company in Sydney. To experience his product first-hand, Dane does a lot of his own exploring, coming up with new ideas and places to recommend to his clients. He recently rode a BMW GS around Canada. Brad has taken a huge step upgrading his ride from his very faithful MT07 to this magnificent new BMW S1000 RR M Sport. This is Sports Bike perfection. Wagner has always been into his retro bikes. Like a lot of riders … he believes heritage is where its at. Scott is working his way through the BMW range. He’s a long-term customer of ours at Procycles BMW Sydney and he’s a BMW aficionado. We have forgotten just how many Beemers he’s ridden out on, but we do recall a classic HP2, R1200 GS Adventure, K1600 GT, and a R1250 RT. Now Scott wanted to try his hand at cruising on the gorgeous BMW R18 Bagger.

This is a stylish and well-equipped cruiser that combines a classic look with modern technology. It’s certainly not a HD look-a-like. The quality build and high-end finish of this BMW is outstanding, and the character is truly something completely different. For a start, the R18 Bagger is loaded with extensive modern technology, including a large 10.25-inch TFT screen, a full suite of impressive electronic rider aids that make the bike so much easier and safer to ride. It also comes equipped with an amazing Marshall sound system, and Active Cruise Control with radar. And its powerful 1800cc engine feels like the best and most suited usage of the Big Boxer yet. The handling is very responsive for its size and it comes with good-quality, lockable, hard saddlebags that are well-insulated and waterproof.

We already knew Paul does not like to compromise. So, when Procycles BMW Hornsby traded this near-new BMW M1000 XR Competition, we contacted Paul and he jumped at the chance to upgrade his ride. Who could blame him? 

This is an incredibly fast, adrenaline-inducing motorcycle, that delivers over 200 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque, capable of superbike-like acceleration and handling. The bike is extremely fast, with impressive 0-100km/h times of around 3.15 seconds and 0-200km/h in 7.4 seconds. It is embellished with a distinctive M-specific colour scheme and lashings of carbon-fibre everywhere. It’s also a comfortable, versatile sports touring bike, with dynamic electronic Marzocchi suspension, customizable ride modes and amazing competition-bred brakes with M four-piston callipers on the front. There is simply no other ride like it.

It’s pretty obvious that Karl likes the BMW S1000 XR model. This is his third one! He just adds them to his collection. So, it’s routine for us at Procycles BMW Hornsby to put one aside for him every time a new model comes out. What’s not to love. The BMW S1000 XR is regarded as the best sit-up superbike on the market.

This sports-tourer produces 170 hp, and the new model has updates that include a 5hp power increase, an electronic BMS-O throttle-by-wire system and expanded Shift Assistant Pro functions for better load change damping. Plus visual refinements to the front fairing and paint schemes. Karl gets superbike performance with all-day riding comfort  thanks to optimized seat geometry for more freedom of movement on his long rides, available in three different heights.

The BMW S1000 XR comes standard with an Adaptive headlight, Riding modes Pro (incl. HSC Pro, MSR, ABS Pro & DTC), Dynamic ESA chassis, Keyless Ride and a handy Storage compartment under the seat.

Brian loves his BMWs. Particularly the GS Adventure. In recent years he’s ridden out of Procycles BMW Sydney on a R1200 GSA, R1250GSA and a 40 Years Anniversary model. And here he is picking up his new generation BMW R1300 GS Adventure Triple Black, equipped with Auto Shift Assist, Adaptive Vehicle Height Control and Enduro Pack Pro. And Brian ordered the Enduro Package Pro, which adds Engine bars, Under-carriage protection, Adjustable footrests and brake lever.

Adem was quick and snapped up a great deal on this BMW CE 04 during our Black Friday Demo Sale  at Procycles BMW Sydney.The BMW CE 04 is a futuristic electric scooter with impressive technology, delivers exhilarating, instant, "ballistically quick" acceleration, with a 0-80 km/h time of around 2.6 seconds, making it very quick in city traffic. The top speed is around 128 km/h, but it is best suited for urban environments. Regenerative braking is a key feature, helping to top up the battery, especially in stop-and-go traffic. The CE 04 is surprisingly nimble due to its low centre of gravity and long wheelbase.The overall design has been polarising for some riders. But we need to understand the CE 04 has been designed to revolutionise urban mobility. The Tech is amazing. Ivan lives locally, so it was easy for him to call into our Procycles BMW Hornsby shop and get acquainted with this beautiful BMW C400 GT ion.

 He wanted a scooter that was comfortable, convenient, economical and safe. But it also had to look good. The BMW C400 GT ticks all the boxes. Some reviewers have gone as far as saying the C400 GT is classy, elegant and mature. We are not sure about the mature bit. This scooter is powerful, with solid handling and excellent dynamic brakes. If Ivan doesn’t have a pillion on the back, he can really cut loose, particularly on the freeway. And by choosing the ion model variant, Ivan gets Connectivity Pro with a large 10.25" TFT split-screen dash display and instrument cluster, featuring map navigation. Blake just got his license. He had his eyes set on a 2026 Kawasaki Ninja 500 and nothing else would do. Smart move Blake. Jivana was initially shopping for a KTM Duke 200 for her first bike, but she found it too tall for her, so she was back to square one. But not for long. At Procycles Yamaha Sydney we sat Jivana on Yamaha’s R3 and it was the perfect fit for her. With a seat height of 780 mm, a weight of around 170 kg, the Yamaha YZF-R3 is easy to handle and strikes a good balance of confidence and sure-footed stability, to suit any first-timer. Grace was searching for a Yamaha R3 on Market Place, without much luck, until she saw a link to Procycles at St Peters, Yamaha’s new Sydney dealer. We had the bike she wanted, in the right colour and at a price that was perfect.

For an entry-level SuperSport the Yamaha R3 is a brilliant motorcycle, and has everything you need, plus Yamaha’s MotoGP YZR-M1 styling, with aggressive fairings, integrated winglets, and modern LED lights, while ergonomic improvements like a narrower seat and slimmer bodywork make really easy to ride. Anthony came up all the way from Canberra to purchase his Yamaha MT-07 from Procycles Yamaha Sydney, after he couldn’t find one locally. The 2025 Yamaha MT 07 has had a major update and now rules the popular naked middleweight: it’s powered by the 655 cc CP2 twin engine with ride by wire throttle, three ride modes, and switchable traction control, now paired with an Assist & Slipper clutch for smoother downshifts. The chassis gets a stiffer tubular steel frame, a redesigned swingarm, lighter spin forged wheels, and upgraded suspension — 41 mm inverted KYB fork up front and a KYB shock at the rear. It’s equipped with a new 5 inch full colour TFT dash that connects to your smartphone (with turn by turn navigation). The styling is sharper, it features a new LED headlight, two-piece seat, and refined ergonomics — all while keeping the weight down to around 183 kg for a responsive, fun ride.

After purchasing a BMW R1300 GS Trophy from Procycles BMW Hornsby earliker this year, Ed fracked up 8,000 kms around South Eastern Australia and another 2,500 kms through the Central Alps in Europe on the same spec bike. At age 66, Ed is a very experienced touring motorcyclist, so when planning his next big adventure in 2026, an 18,000 klm lap around Australia, he approached Procycles Hornsby to upgrade to the ultimate adventure touring machine for the trip - the BMW R1300 Gs Adventure. Sam is a Navy man, away on deployment in the USA, when he saw our Procycles KTM Sydney used bike listing on bikesales.com.au Sam sent an enquiry through from the U.S. and we described the motorcycle to his satisfaction. So, he gave us a deposit, and we held the bike for him until he returned. Sam scored himself an excellent 2023 KTM 390 Duke. A cost-effective, naked street bike to finish his P's test on and get himself a licence.

Sam’s 390 Duke has a great power to weight ratio. It’s powered by a 373 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that delivers 44 hp and 37 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper-type clutch. Built around a powder-coated steel trellis frame with premium WP APEX suspension and sporting a 320 mm front brake disc, with radial calliper and dual-channel ABS (including Supermoto mode), it’s designed for sharp handling and confident braking. With a seat height of around 830 mm, a compact 13.4-litre fuel tank and very light weight, the 390 Duke is a nimble and has features not seen on other bikes in this class. Cameron came into Procycles KTM Hornsby a few months ago to look at small capacity adventure bikes, and we mentioned we were taking pre-orders for the new KTM 390 Adventure R. The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure R is a highly capable, off-road-focused middleweight adventure bike with agile handling, and superior control, thanks to its robust technology package. While it can handle multi-day long-distance destinations, its lightweight chassis and 230 mm adjustable suspension give away its real purpose - tackling tough terrain. The M Sport package adds features like carbon wheels, M Sport suspension, and aerodynamic winglets that generate downforce, making it lighter and more stable at high speeds. The engine is powerful and smooth, delivering strong acceleration thanks to BMW's ShiftCam technology, which boosts performance from the mid-range upwards.

Handling is described as sharp, precise, and agile, feeling more like a smaller bike in corners. The M chassis kit and specific steering geometry further enhance front-end precision. Stan wanted a great looking bike and one light enough to really zip around town, he picked up his BMW F900 R Sport, from Procycles BMW Hornsby, and got exactly that!

For 2025, the BMW F900 R really steps into the limelight. BMW has updated this model with a new chassis and new ergonomics. The F900 R gains Marzochhi 43mm upside-down forks, instead of the previous telescopic setup. It provides rebound and compression damping, as well as spring preload adjustment. And new lighter wheels, shave around 1.8kg. For 2025, it’s producing 105bhp at 8,500rpm and 68.6lb ft at 6,500rpm. Another change is the switch to a lithium battery, shaving another kilo in weight, bringing it down to 208kg, some 3kg lighter than before.

The new F900 R feels more like a true mid-capacity naked roadster. With a dynamically more aggressive riding position, sportier suspension and lower weight, this bike is more like a baby S1000 R, and the Sport tricolour paint scheme, gives it a real performance look. Stan will have no problem getting around the city on his new BMW F900 R Sport … and probably a lot faster than he ever has before.
