The ABS sensor for the front wheel sits very exposed and unprotected between the radial brake caliper and axle of the front wheel. It is a sensitive component that together with the ABS rim and ABS controller prevents the front wheel brake from being blocked and the rider from losing control of the motorcycle. It is an important safety component that must always be working and which must always be protected from mechanical damage e.g. caused by stones, branches or other foreign bodies.
