Intensive off-road riding inevitably leaves its mark on the Boxer’s header pipes. Stones kicked up directly by the front wheel – or sometimes from the rider ahead – can easily cause dents and marks. Worse still are collisions with solid rock or large stones in narrow off-road passages. These battle scars and signs of wear might honour a seasoned enduro returning from its natural habitat – but on an R 12?

To protect the exposed header pipes and the crossover pipe that connects both header pipes beneath the engine, we recommend our DAKAR header pipe guard.
