Our unique passenger seat on the market offers the high level of ergonomic design, padding properties, and, above all, size, comparable to the latest premium rider seats. The tailored cover, the intricate seam design, and the craftsmanship of our saddlers ensure a look that, despite a generous 70 mm increase in seat width compared to the standard model, integrates beautifully and subtly into the design of the BMW R 1300 GS. At the same time, the significantly enlarged surface area reduces seat pressure, providing noticeably greater comfort for the seat.

Why do we do this?
Quite simply, because many customers ask for it. Especially those who forego shared motorcycling enjoyment on tours and trips as a pair because the comfort of today’s standard passenger seats is barely adequate for a short ride to the nearest ice cream parlour but intolerable for anything beyond that.

We manufacture our seats with a specific, characteristic, particularly ergonomic 3-D contour. A special feature of our passenger seat is the integrated support contour at the front of the seat, providing additional secure hold during braking. This integration makes riding relaxed and dynamic. Because the requirements for rider and passenger differ, BMW specialist Wunderlich designs its AKTIVKOMFORT seats with specific contours for each. The contours for rider and passenger vary according to their detailed needs. For both, the proven, characteristic ergonomic 3-D contour, along with the shape and inclination of the carefully crafted seat core, supports the natural, ergonomic posture of the pelvis.

The seat padding is reliably protected against sagging thanks to its thoughtful construction, and the seat pressure is evenly distributed over a larger area, significantly reducing specific pressure on the posterior. Comfortable! The ergonomic shape of the special foam also relieves pressure on the sensitive coccyx.
They provide perfect support and active, secure control during dynamic riding, especially during braking: Who hasn’t experienced the situation where the passenger suddenly pushes forward during hard braking, forcing the rider to brace while also needing to steer in a potentially critical situation? With Wunderlich’s specially developed support contour, such moments of braking shock are a thing of the past. The innovative ergonomic 3-D contour also ensures that pressure points on the inner thighs when standing at traffic lights are a thing of the past.
