Lachlan looks pretty happy collecting his first bike ever, a BMW G310 R from Procycles BMW Sydney. The 310 R might be the entry-level model of the BMW fleet, but up close up it’s very evident that this machine definitely came from BMW Motorrad. It’s all BMW quality in the build and finish. The first two upscale items that stand out are the upside down gold front forks and the cast aluminum swingarm. Usually only found on far more expensive bikes. Next is the braking system. ABS is standard, like most bikes, but BMW has upped the game with a 4-piston front calliper, and great responsive brakes are vital when you are just starting out. The 313 cc engine outputs 34 HP, but the real difference is how it’s been mounted. With lots of single-cylinders, the exhaust exits out the front. For the G 310 R, the cylinder head has been rotated 180 degrees backward, positioning the exhaust to exit near the rear spring. This makes for less heat under the seat, something you notice in traffic and on hot days. The G 310 R’s riding position is classic BMW ergonomics. This bike will fit most everyone, and the substantial tank gives the illusion of being on a much larger bike. The display cluster provides all the information – including fuel gauge, trip meter, top speed, average speed, tachometer, clock, gear position, and engine temperature. This is a great bike for both new riders, and those who want a fun city bike to add to their shed.

Steve took advantage of a break in the weather and came down from Newcastle, to Procycles BMW Sydney, to pick up his new BMW R18 B Option 719, finished in Galaxy Dust / Titan Silver and fitted with a Backrest and Sissy Bar. This amazing motorcycle is the Bagger from the BMW R18 Heritage family. This bike makes a bold statement. No subtleties. Just 1802cc of big black Boxer engine that pumps out 158 Nm of torque @ 3,000 rpm. The R18 B’s Rock ‘n’ Roll ‘n’ Rain three riding modes, are supplemented by Automatic Stability Control and Dynamic Engine Brake Control. Reversing and Hill Start Control make hill starts easier. Like most blokes, Roy is all about convenience and no B.S. When he decided he needed a commuter that could do the job, Roy headed into Procycles BMW Sydney and nailed us for our best EOFYS price on this beautiful BMW C400 GT ion. Owning Australia’s most capable and most popular Superbike was not enough for Kamil. When he ordered the new bike from Procycles BMW Sydney, he decided to trick up his new BMW S1000 RR Race with an Evolution Titanium full system, BMW adjustable rear sets, M Brake & Clutch levers, Frame sliders and a Tinted screen. And despite a head-spinning array of S1000 standard features, when Kamil choose the RR Race variant he also got the Dynamic Package goodies, consisting of Dynamic Damping, Heated grips, Cruise control and Riding Modes Pro, along with M forged wheels, Sports silencer, Tyre pressure monitoring and M endurance chain. The Dynamic Damping Control (DDC) adjusts the front and rear damping by interpreting changes in ride height signals on the fly.
