Rear wheel hugger (with ESA) – carbon

This hugger is made of carbon fiber and has a beautiful finish. These huggers protect the rear shock absorber unit, silencer, collector, rear sub frame and lower legs | feet of the passenger. Water and dirt cannot be blown freely on the passenger feet and legs as well as penetrate deep into the bikes systems. Especially the rear shock is protected against premature wear. A must for any owner who loves and wants to and protect his/her BMW (and the passenger). The hugger is fastened to the final drive unit via a metal bracket that is bonded directly to the carbon fiber hugger body. Easy to fit, sold with all fitting material needed. ABE approved.

Please Note: This part is the correct version for bikes with ESA suspension. If your bike doesn't have ESA, please order part number 8160979 under the Related Products tab.

Important fitting information : If your bike has saddlebags, youll also need to order a bracket kit when installing this hugger. The issue is that the original saddlebag mount brackets on the inboard side are rather massive castings and they may come into contact with the hugger when the suspension is compressed. The bracket kit consists of thinner steel brackets and the hardware needed for installation.
